A serious event was discovered today in Durrës, where three childrens are involved in killing their 50-year-old father and buried him in the backyard.

Through an announcement earlier during the day, the Police said that the 50-year-old man was shot dead and had been reported missing for 10 days by his family members.

In the beginning his daughter stated that the motive for the murder was her father’s encouragement to get engaged against her will, as well as the family conflicts they had.

The police informed after the investigations that the whole family is suspected to be involved in the crime. Specifically, the three children, the eldest son Hysen Meta, his sister Hygerta Meta, 19 years old, have been imprisoned as accomplices for the murder of their father.

Skënder Hita, director of the Durrës police in a statement to the media has given other details of the serious crime that happened, where 50-year-old Pëllumb Meta was found murdered and buried near his house.

He said that his eldest son Hysen Meta shot at his father, and his sister, 19-year-old Hygerta Meta, was also involved.

Among other things, he said that the event is suspected to have happened due to family conflicts, while he showed how the suspicions arose that something else is hidden behind the disappearance of the victim.

“We are dealing with every possible circumstance of the crime. From the investigative actions that have been carried out, it is suspected that the son of the family committed the shooting and was his father’s executor. The 19-year-old was also involved. The reason was family conflicts. The moment we received the report, we raised our suspicions and set up investigative teams. We suspected that it was not a random loss, but we were dealing with something else. It is an event that the two children thought of and carried out as murder. The weapon was without a permit,” he said.

Skënder Hita also told the media that the serious crime in the family where Pëllumb Meta was killed, happened inside the premises of the apartment, in one of the rooms.

Another brother, Amarildo Meta, who, according to the police, helped them hide the corpse, was also arrested.

The wife of the victim, Blerta Meta, is also being investigated.
