A part of the hotel industry in Saranda has signed this Thursday a petition addressed to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Tourism, regarding the normative act with no. 8 of 28.12.2023.
The purpose of this normative act is the treatment of polluted water through the installation of the collection system, and the removal of sewage from the subjects themselves.
“This is the reason why we have gathered today as a community of the tourism industry, it is about article 6 which must be clarified regarding the fact that a new law which requires and imposes on entities that are close to the sea and do not have access to the sewerage of sewage, it imposes the installation of a structure, which is said to be of great cost.
And it is a project that is absolutely irresistible to the subjects. This is always acceptable in cases where accommodation structures and entities do not have access to the sewer line,” said Arben Çipa, head of the association of tourist operators.
But it does not clarify which categories are affected by this law.
With a letter addressed to the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure, Çipa says that the tourism industry in Saranda will take the case to court if the normative act is not reviewed and it is not clarified which subjects will be affected by the sewage plants.
“In the case that we as a community will have to turn to the Court, it will be done in the event that something is not changed in this normative act. Today’s petition is the opposition to this act and if this will not be taken as a basis, then the whole community will turn to the Court” – added Çipa.
This normative act has brought dissatisfaction in the ranks of hoteliers just a few weeks before Saranda and Ksamili turn into the headlines of tourism in the country.
