The young people of Presevo will have the opportunity to attend university studies in Albania.

Precisely to talk about this cooperation agreement in the field of education, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, welcomed in a meeting the chairman of the Albanian National Council of the Presevo Valley, Nevzad Lutfiu and the rector of the university “Eqerem Çabej” Gjirokastra, Bektash Mema.

“Starting from the 2024-2025 academic year, 30 students, girls and boys from the Presevo Valley will have the opportunity to complete their university studies in Albania every year, benefiting from scholarships and free accommodation throughout the study period. Not only that, but following the model proposed by the Municipality of Gjirokastra and the University of Gjirokastra, which started the project in October last year, students can also be offered employment opportunities in Albania during the summer months, said Igli Hasani the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The rector of the university “Eqerem Çabej” pointed out that some students from Presevo are already part of this university, but that is not enough.

The Albanian government is considering ways to provide support for specializations in the field of medicine and the development of medical practices near state or private hospitals in the country, but also the possibilities of cooperation in the field of culture and media.
