Under the motto: “Together! Support, development and prosperity”, 20 mayors of Kosovo’s municipalities have visited Kavaja. While the summer season is approaching, projects for the future were the main topic of conversation, especially in the field of tourism.

“Today we hosted the mayors of the municipalities of Kosovo in a conversation to cooperate in the field of tourism, but not only. This is because alongside the fraternal relations we have with the Kosovars, we also have cooperation and business relations”, said the mayor Fisnik Qosja.

“Kavaja, in particular, is overpopulated with Kosovars, because of the history that brought us here”, said Jehona Lushaku, deputy mayor of the municipality of Pristina.

“We will cooperate to make joint projects in the function of industry and businesses. For the Kosovars to come and invest here, but also for the citizens of Kavaja to come to the capital on this day.”

After the discussion, the 20 mayors and the head of the Kavaja municipality also honored the martyr of the nation, Indrit Cara, who on March 31, 1999 gave his life fighting for the liberation of Kosovo.

“This historical event connects us even more with Kavaja, not only for the history of Malisheva, but for everyone, because the heroes of the nation are the main pillars on which everything is built”, – Ekrem Kastrati, mayor of the municipality of Malisheva.

“We visited the bust to show the maximum respect and honor we have for all those who have contributed to our glorious history”, said Jehona Lushaku, vice president of the municipality of Pristina.

“We refer to it as a historical point, but also as a starting point for a brighter future, as a motive to build a better future for our children.”

For the martyr Indrit Cara, the head of the Kavaja municipality said that they will erect a giant monument to him in the city square, in March next year.
