Croatia will support Kosovo’s integration into NATO. The former Croatian Foreign Minister says that Kosovo’s entry into the alliance will bring more security and stability to the region.

Miro Kovač, former foreign minister of Croatia, commented on the marking of the 75th anniversary of NATO and the 15th anniversary of the membership of Croatia and Albania in the North Atlantic Alliance.

Kovač said that they expect Kosovo to join this alliance with full rights very soon.

“We are very happy that we have joined our allies together with Albania and we expect that Kosovo will soon be a full member of NATO”, declared the former head of Croatian diplomacy.

Speaking about concerns about a real conflict in the Western Balkans, Kovač said that it is a matter for the European Union to deal with security.

He said that if there is any kind of aggression within the Balkans, member states within NATO will intervene immediately to ensure that order and security are maintained as such.

Kovač also commented on the case of Bansjka on September 23 of last year, saying that it was an attempt to cause unrest in the region.
