The Ambassador of China, Mrs. Pang Chunxue and the Mayor of Fier, Armando Subashi, have visited the premises of the company Bankers Petroleum Albania, the most important Chinese business in Albania and also in the region of Fier.

Bankers currently produces over 85% of the country’s total oil and employs over 1,500 people, contributing significantly to the local economy.

The head of the municipality emphasized that thanks to the positive performance of Bankers in the country, Fier region plans to attract other Chinese investors in the field of health, technology and artificial intelligence.

During the field visit, the ambassador assessed that Bankers is the largest Chinese project in Albania and remains a case of success.

“For me it is impressive to see what the company is doing in the development of this asset through investments in the latest technologies for oil production. Bankers has made an important contribution to the economy of Albania and I am confident that the company will have a very good future, increasing even more the positive impact in the country,” said the ambassador.

On the other hand, the CEO of the company, Bankers Petroleum Albania, Huanqin Xiao, pointed out that the year 2024 will undoubtedly be a transformative period for the largest oil production company in the country.

“We have just started the application of new technology for the production of oil through steam injection, no longer relying only on the extraction of oil by the usual conventional method. The results are optimistic where we are producing 25 tons/day in the first weeks”, declared the CEO of Bankers.

Bankers aims to increase the production of oil up to 800 thousand tons per year through the new technology during the next 5 years.
