The President of the Constitutional Court of Albania, Holta Zaçaj, hosted the Head of the Delegation of the European Union in Albania, Ambassador Silvio Gonzato, in an official meeting.

During the meeting, President Zaçaj shared with the Ambassador the ongoing efforts of the Court to strengthen the effectiveness of decision-making and its activity, as well as focused on some of the most important achievements of this period, such as the drafting of the first Guide to the Jurisprudence of the Constitutional Court, broadcasting court hearings in live stream, improving the Court’s communication with the media and the public through the organization of press conferences after the most important decisions, etc.

For his part, Ambassador Gonzato, emphasizing the importance of the successful implementation of reforms, as well as the level of interaction with public authorities and civil society for Albania’s membership in the European Union, expressed commitment to support the activity of the Constitutional Court, as a key institution for the protection of the rights and freedoms of citizens, the promotion of democracy and the rule of law.
