After 13 years in Belgium, Klea and Liori return to Albania. They have chosen the village of Kanina to buy a house and live. Klea is an Albanian girl from Berat city. She says that Kanina is the ideal place to live in terms of the climate and the very tempting panorama.

“To have an apartment near the sea, that’s why we chose Vlora, plus life is more youthful in Vlora”, she told for Euronews Albania.

But it was Liori’s opinion that the couple should change their lifestyle, given that in Belgium the climate is cold and life is very fast-paced. They have chosen this change for some peace of mind.

“We’ve been here for 4 months, we came to enjoy nature, to enjoy a slower life because in Belgium it was like a “race”, here we can enjoy the little things, spend more time with our daughter, maybe we can spend the rest of our lives here,” he said.

Like a good part of the residents of the coastal city, the couple affirms that the tradition of hospitality continues to be inherited in Albania and even more so in Vlora.

“That bad stereotype “be careful from the people of Vlora” has still remained, but we haven’t felt it at all. They are very good friends”, said Klea.

Like Klea and Liori, there are many other nationalities who have chosen to live in Kanina or the villages around Vlora. Most of them are Italians, Russians, Ukrainians and citizens from Belgium.
