Today, a protest organized by the Alliance for the Protection of the Theater took place in front of the Municipality of Tirana, supported by ” Re-establishment” (Rithemelimi) and the Freedom Party (PL).

This is the fifth consecutive protest supported by ” Re-establishment” and PL in front of the Municipality of Tirana and comes after the security measures imposed by SPAK (Special Prosecutor’s Office) against some former officials of the Municipality of Tirana for “abuse of duty”.

Also, today’s election for protest coincides with the appearance of the mayor Erion Veliaj in the Special Prosecutor’s Office.

Several senior officials of “Reestablishment” and the Freedom Party were present at the protest.

During their speech, the exponents of the Re-establishment threw accusations at the mayor Erion Veliaj and demanded his resignation.

Demonstrators clashed with police forces and threw Molotov cocktails towards the City Hall building.

Also, the Police forces used tear gas against the protesters, to make it possible to disperse them.
