Europe Days have already arrived in Gjirokastra with a rich program of activities. Fairs, exhibitions, film broadcasts, artistic performances, etc. have enlivened the stone city by highlighting and promoting European values.
“We represent UNICEF with a program which will also be implemented in the city of Gjirokastra, we will work in 14 municipalities distributed throughout Albania and our program aims to expand or create new services for social care in these municipalities”. – Elsa Zhega, UNICEF coordinator.
“At today’s fair, we represent the Albania is Biodiversity campaign, which is an initiative funded by the EU. The campaign is about preserving biodiversity in Albania and the importance of preserving it as one of the greatest national assets, our country,” said Klejn Gracani, PPNEA coordinator.
The participants appreciated the organization of Europe Days in different areas of the country.
“It is very positive because we get to know the public and the beneficiaries of the various programs implemented in different districts of Albania,” said Elsa Zhega, UNICEF coordinator.
“I appreciate them as very good activities because the natural values of Albania are not found in the center of Tirana but are found in scattered parts of Albania, nature is not only in the capital, it is in Gjirokastra, it is in Shkodra, it is in Vlora and everywhere around”, said Klejn Gracani, PPNEA coordinator.
The developed activities also attracted the attention of tourists and visitors present in the stone city.
