After the end of the Orthodox Easter at home, our compatriots who live and work in Greece have started returning to the neighboring country.
During the day on Monday, an increasing flow of pedestrians and vehicles traveling towards Greece was recorded at the exit counters at the Kakavija customs office.
According to the Border Police in Gjirokastra, 3902 citizens were registered in entry-exit, of which 2162 in entry and 1740 in exit, as well as 1265 vehicles in entry-exit, of which 643 in entry and 622 in exit.
In order to avoid waiting lines at the border, the Border Police in Kakavije is working with 4 counters at the entrance and 3 at the exit based on the flow of movement at the border, while the Greek side is also working at an accelerated pace. The flow of traffic at the customs office of Kakavija is expected to be recorded in the coming days as well.
