The majority of German businesses in Albania are satisfied with their activity, compared to last year. In the annual survey, they expect strengthening of laws and toughening of the fight against corruption.
In the annual survey that the German Chamber conducted with its 51 enterprises in Albania, only 33% of them said that the economic situation is not good.
Even the German ambassador in Tirana, Karl Bergner, has evaluated the business climate, adding that the country needs the creation of a safe legal framework.
“For us, it is clear that investments can flourish where there is a secure legal framework, a professional administration with integrity as well as an open policy for dialogue both for employers and employees.
We support the consolidation of the rule of law and the fight against corruption,” said Karl Bergner, the German ambassador in Tirana.
Asked about future performance, 27% of businesses protected by the German Chamber of Commerce expect to face a decline, a percentage that is lower than last year.
