The leader of the right-wing nationalist party “Greek Solution” Kyriakos Velopoulos today in the parliament tore up the Prespa Agreement and described as fascist the VMRO-DPMNE, which convincingly won the last parliamentary elections in North Macedonia.
“This is the Prespa Agreement. If there had been a credible, national, patriotic, social, popular Greek government, it would have been respected,” said Velopulos, tearing up the Prespa Agreement.
Velopulos, as announced by MIA from Athens, in today’s session of the Assembly tore up the Prespa Agreement, which did not include Greek foreign policy in the agenda.
“There is no North and South Macedonia, Macedonia is one and it is Greece and you said that in the protests. Now you are calling North Macedonia. Our problem is not the Macedonian president, the problem is the way they interpret their history. VMRO is the worst thing that a fascist and Nazi people can choose…”, said Velopulos.
Then he took the Prespa Agreement and said that if the Government cannot tear it up, he will tear it up himself.
According to reports, he directed harsh criticism at the Greek government, which he called on to bring memoranda on cooperation with Skopje.
