The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, will have a meeting with the Turkish President, Rexhep Tayip Erdogan next week.
This was announced yesterday, as Kurti welcomed the ambassador of Turkey in Kosovo, Sabri Tunç Angili, in a meeting.
In the announcement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, it is said that in the following days there may be a meeting between Kurti and the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, as well as with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hakan Fidan.
“This meeting took place on the eve of Prime Minister Kurti’s official visit to Ankara and Istanbul in the coming days, where among the agenda will be the opportunity to hold a bilateral meeting with the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, as well as with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hakan Fidan,” said the Prime Minister’s Office.
“The first Economic Forum between the Republic of Kosovo and Turkey will be held in Istanbul, where many businesses from Kosovo and Turkey will participate as a unique opportunity to expand the opportunities for economic and commercial cooperation”, says the announcement issued by PM’s Office.
It is further said that during the conversation, bilateral relations and the importance of cooperation in joint projects in the fields of culture, defense and investments were discussed.
“The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for the continuous support of Turkey and its people to the people and state of Kosovo, especially for its role in Kosovo’s membership in international organizations and the recent unwavering support for accession to the Council of Europe”, the announcement further states.
