A delegation of Democratic Party’s Reestablishment, headed by Secretary General Flamur Noka and Vice President Agron Gjekmarkaj, met this Tuesday in the premises of the Italian Parliament with the chairman of the parliamentary group of Forza Italia Paolo Barreli and deputy Alessandro Batilocchio.
According to the announcement of the Reestablishment, it is known that the representatives of the Democratic Party made an exposition of the general situation in Albania and the violation of democratic standards.
Also, according to the announcement, the focus of the conversation was the imprisonment of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha.

DP MPs emphasized the need for a sensitization that Italy, a large European country, should do regarding the imprisonment of Berisha at the national and pan-European level.
According to the representatives of Reestablishment, it is the moral duty of a friendly country not only to consider interstate relations but also issues of internal democracy.
This is because according to them, Sali Berisha is a political contribution and symbolism not only in Albania’s relations with Forza Italia, but also with Italy and Europe.
The representatives of Reestablishment said at the meeting that the elections in Albania are no longer a matter of alternatives, but of gangs.
On the eve of the European Parliament elections, DP MPs offered support to their sister party, calling on the Albanian community to vote for Forza Italia candidates.
Noka and Gjekmarkaj also held a meeting with the leadership of the DP branch in Rome.
