On July 20, the Socialist Party Congress will be convened where a platform for the selection of deputies in the 2025 elections will be presented.

Rama said that the number of new members has increased by 32,000, while he added that now SP aims to increase the number of young people in the party.

“The overall result is very positive. 32 thousand new members have been added throughout the territory. Among other things, it is encouraging that almost 11,400 of them are young men and women between the ages of 18 and 30, meanwhile, 10,000 delegates have been proposed from the entire election process for the new congress, from which the number of 1,200 congress delegates has emerged. 925 delegates are directly elected by the membership, among whom 76% are for the first time at the SP congress.”

Rama added that the meetings in the diaspora were not only a meeting with Albanians in Europe, but also a call to join the Socialist Party.

“250 members will be elected by secret ballot in the next election congress. The ambition turned into a criterion is that ¾ should be in the national assembly for the first time. We have held the first two meetings of the agreed tour to meet Albanians in Europe and beyond. The meeting was a knock on their door where significant work has begun to completely re-energize the network of sympathizers and members in the SP”, said Rama.
