The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has congratulated the former Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte, on his election to the position of Secretary General of NATO.

Through a post on the ‘X’ social network, Osmani wrote that his experience and knowledge will be invaluable for the Alliance.

She said she expects to start cooperation with him to advance Kosovo’s membership in NATO and work towards peace and security on the continent and beyond.

Over the years, we have worked together on many important issues and I have no doubt that our strong cooperation will continue until he takes on this new responsibility.
