Albania continues to have problems in terms of the proliferation and misuse of weapons. In this framework, the OSCE presented in Elbasan the assistance project to the Albanian authorities for reducing the risk of weapons proliferation.

The ambassador participated in the meeting of the Local Council for Public Safety where he signed a cooperation and understanding agreement with the Elbasan municipality.

The OSCE pointed out that the problem of light weapons is not only Albanian, so the assistance of this project will also extend to the countries of the region.
