Six fire hotspots still active throughout Albania

33 wildfires in Albania have been extinguished in the last 24 hours, out of 39 reported hotspots. According to data from the National Operational Centre for Civil Emergencies, fires continue to be active in:

  • The Bode forest area, Maliq Municipality,
  • The village of Skuraj, Kurbin Municipality,
  • Mount Kakarriq, Lezhë Municipality,
  • The village of Gjadër, Lezhë Municipality,
  • The village of Zavalinë, Elbasan Municipality,
  • The village of Kus, Tirana Municipality.

Local government structures, supported by central authorities, are working to fully extinguish these fires. Currently, the fires do not pose a threat to populated areas.

In the latest operations to extinguish the fires, approximately 1,400 operational forces were involved, with 75 vehicles and a Cougar helicopter.

Citizens are urged to report any issues promptly to the emergency numbers.

The National Agency for Civil Protection will continue to monitor the situation and will deploy all available resources at both national and international levels.
