The Albanian diplomatic body that serves all over the world has gathered today in Tirana to participate in the “Tirana Diplo 2024” Conference of Ambassadors.
One of the main themes of this event was the journey and dynamics of the process of integration of Albania into the European Union.
Among the dignitaries invited to this conference, the Deputy Prime Minister of Slovenia and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Tanja Fajon expressed optimism that Albania has the chances to be part of the EU in 2030.
“I am very proud that we have achieved the liberalization of visas for the region at a time when this could not even be imagined, I am a big supporter of EU expansion, I may even be pessimistic at the moment, but this does not serve to move forward. I think now is the best chance to expand the EU with the countries of the Western Balkans. In 2030, we have a geostrategic need, to be ready for 2030, but the continuity on this path will mean that in a few years some countries of the region will be part of the EU”, said Fajon.
