The visit of the head of the CIA to Kosovo, for Prime Minister Albin Kurti, is proof of the commitment that the US has to peace in the region.
This is the position that the Prime Minister of Kosovo took this Tuesday regarding the messages of the head of American intelligence, William Burns, a few days ago in Pristina.
“The meeting went very well. And of course we have cooperation with the United States of America and this very important institution of intelligence and security, first of all through the Kosovo Intelligence Agency. I thank William Burns for visiting our country and this is further evidence of the commitment and concern of the United States for the security and prevention of any security threats for our Republic in the framework of bilateral relations with the USA and peace, stability, regional security in the Western Balkans”, said Kurti.
Last week, the head of the CIA toured some of the Balkan countries. He visited Bosnia, Serbia and then Kosovo. In Pristina, the head of the CIA met with President Vjosa Osmani and Prime Minister Albin Kurti. The visit took place at a time when the US State Department criticized the Kosovo government’s stance on the opening of the Ibri Bridge.
