The American Embassy has published this Wednesday a post on the X network, where it announces the meeting between the Charge d’Affaires, Nancy VanHorn and the head of Special Prosecutor’s Office (SPAK), Altin Dumani and the head of the Corruption Section of this structure, Klodjan Braho.

In the post, the embassy announced that in the meeting between the aforementioned parties, Mrs. VanHorn expressed the admiration of the United States for the efforts of SPAK in the fight against corruption and organized crime.

Evidencing VanHorn’s encouragement for SPAK to continue the courageous work of their mission, the US Embassy’s statement:

“Officer Nancy VanHorn met today with SPAK chief Altin Dumani and SPAK Corruption Section chief Klodjan Braho, who are committed to fighting organized crime, corruption and impunity in Albania. Ms. VanHorn expressed the United States’ admiration for SPAK’s tireless efforts and encouraged them to continue their courageous and integrity-driven work. She emphasized that SPAK and the independent institutions of Albania have the full support of the United States in their mission for the Albanian people, paving the way for Albania’s journey towards EU membership.”
