The German Foreign Ministry has reacted regarding the visit to Kosovo of the delegate of the German government for the Balkan region, Manuel Sarrazin.

Through a post on the “X” social network, the press office of the German Foreign Ministry emphasizes that EU expansion is a geopolitical imperative. Therefore, he emphasizes that Sarazin’s visit to Kosovo is part of the preparations of the Berlin Process for the integration of the region towards the EU.

“The enlargement of the EU is a geopolitical imperative, especially in relation to the integration of the countries of the Western Balkans. As part of the preparations for the Berlin Process summit in October, Manuel Sarrazin is again holding talks in the region”, the reaction says.

The Foreign Ministry has also reposted Sarrazin’s message after the meeting with Prime Minister Kurti, where he says that the region needs good news, to take it to the EU through the Berlin Process.

“Tireless efforts to bring great results together with the 6 countries of the Western Balkans for citizens in the region at the Berlin Process Summit in October. The region needs good news now. Worried that we are not there yet. We need the Berlin Process to lead the region towards the EU”, writes Sarrazin.
