The month of August has registered a significant flow of movements at the customs of Kakavija on both sides of the border with Greece.

In the period August 1-August 31 through this Border Crossing Point, one of the largest in Albania, 249,281 people, Albanian and foreign citizens, as well as 94,402 Albanian and foreign vehicles moved on both sides of the border with the Greek state.

The largest number of people who moved to the border during August are our compatriots who traveled for vacation from Greece to their homeland. Also part of the recorded flow are tourists from different countries who moved to the border.

Even in these first days of September, an average of 7,000 people per day who travel on both sides of the border are registered at Kakavija customs where the largest part is occupied by departures from Albania, also due to the end of vacations by Albanian citizens who live and work abroad. The Border Police and the Greek side have avoided long waiting lines at the document counters by working with additional counters.
