On September 11-13, the Afghan Women’s Summit will be held in Tirana, the largest meeting of human rights activists from Afghanistan in the last three years.

The summit is held under the auspices of the Albanian government through the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and is organized by “Women for Afghanistan (WFA)”, in cooperation with the governments of Spain and Switzerland.

Around 100 Afghan women including Afghan women’s networks in different countries will participate in the three-day summit as a platform to build unity and a cohesive message and amplify their voices.

From 9:15 to 10:30 in its first session, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, will deliver the opening speech.
