U.S Department Official meets Dumani, US Embassy: Prosecutor’s Office has our full support

The head of the Office for Southern and Central Europe in U.S State Department, Colleen Hyland, during her visit to Tirana also met with the head of SPAK (Special Prosecutor’s Office), Altin Dumani.

Through a statement on social networks, the American Embassy has announced the full support of the United States for the work and mission of the Special Prosecutor’s Office.

In the statement, emphasis was placed on the key role of justice reform as a journey of our country towards membership in the European Union.

American Embassy’s statement:

“During her visit today to Tirana, Colleen Hyland, Head of the Office for Southern and Central Europe at the US State Department, met with the Head of SPAK, Altin Dumani. Ms. Hyland reiterated the United States’ full support for SPAK and Albania’s independent institutions, emphasizing the key role of justice reform in advancing Albania’s journey towards its Euro-Atlantic aspirations.”
