In New York, where he is for the work of the United Nations Assembly, Prime Minister Rama was part of the dialogue table on the topic “Towards a common digital future”.
The head of the Albanian government emphasized that digital technology is a blessing for developing countries, while he pointed out that thanks to its development today in Albania, the vast majority of public services are offered online.
“Digital technology is a blessing for developing countries, and we in Albania have seen it in our real life and through our efforts, becoming a country where 95% of services today are online.
On the other hand, of course, digital technology is not only a blessing, but also a curse of cyber attacks, and Albania was the victim of a very severe cyber attack by Iran, and we witnessed in our real life how much this kind of new world based on technology can be harmful to countries and citizens, but in the end, there is no doubt that if we are able to create a system where the world and the community of nations will get the most out of the promises of digital technology, and at the same time, it will mitigate all the negative sides and harmful effects that can come from its malicious use, the world will be a much better place,” said Rama.
