Starting from October 1, Albanian farmers can apply for funds that will support up to half of the value of their investment in agriculture and livestock.
With the revision of the budget, 500 million lek (around 5 million euros) have been allocated for investments in the sectors of greenhouses, stables and agricultural machinery.
Farmers who have a nephew or groups of farmers can apply to benefit from the national agricultural investment scheme.
The scheme will be open for 5 weeks to all beneficiaries from north to south, from east to west, and for this, an intensive direct communication will be launched in the 12 districts of the country.
Meanwhile, the agro points are there to provide all the right explanations for all the farmers’ questions.
Benefit conditions:
- Investments in stables: Half of the cost of investments for animal stables and the growth of stables will be covered by the state, but the maximum that can be benefited is 15 million ALL per subject. To benefit, farmers must have:
- Over 10 cows,
- Over 100 fine heads,
- Or over 10,000 birds.
Agricultural equipment: Up to 5 million ALL will be given as a grant for agricultural and livestock farms.
Fishing: It will benefit from grants of up to 20 million ALL.
Funding process:
- 30% of the investment fund will be given in advance.
- If the 500 million lek fund is not fully absorbed by farmers within 2024, it will be reallocated for use in the following year.
This initiative aims to promote investments in agriculture, livestock and the fishing sector, improving the productive and technological capacities of farmers in the country.
