The President of the Republic, Bajram Begaj, has expressed his regret through a post on X about the victims and damages caused by the floods in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Begaj expressed his condolences to his counterpart, Denis Bećirović and his family for the losses from this natural disaster.

At least 14 people have died due to persistent heavy rains, landslides and floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and many residents were forced to evacuate after heavy rains caused rivers to overflow and triggered landslides.

Begaj’s message on X:

“With deep sadness I learned the news about the victims of the floods and several dozen missing in the province of Jablanica and some other areas in Bosnia-Herzegovina.

I express my condolences to President Denis Bećirović and his family for the losses from this natural disaster!

I join my prayers and those of the Albanian people and we stand in solidarity with the citizens seriously damaged by this natural disaster.” – said the President through a post on the X platform.”
