Lending to businesses and individuals in the country has increased significantly this year. But, with the rapid pace of lending, the Central Bank suggests that commercial banks become more careful when giving money, to keep under control the level of problem loans, because the demands are expected to be high in the future.
During a survey conducted with 1,200 families, the Bank of Albania found that the solvency of families has deteriorated, even though the risk of an increase in outstanding loans is under control, at the level of 4.7%.
For the entire first six months of this year, the loan disbursed by the banking sector reached the value of 182 billion ALL with an increase of about 12%. The main reason why individuals have continued to take has been for real estate, while businesses to reinvest in their environments.
