The Minister of the Interior Ervin Hoxha was on Monday evening at the Trauma hospital where he visited the officers injured during the opposition protest.

In a statement to the media, Hoxha said that the management of the gathering by the police was in accordance with the law.

“We saw several scenes where police officers were involved in the fire, the management was in accordance with the law, the police repelled the politically motivated violent crowd, the officers have minor injuries, 3 are still under the supervision of doctors. The management of the gathering was in accordance with the law, none of the citizens were injured today, except for the police officers. All institutions were attacked, this has caused the police to use tear gas. We have no information about injured citizens. The protest was violent”, said the Minister of the Interior.
