Prime Minister Edi Rama held a meeting with the mayors of the country this Tuesday, where he discussed the problems faced by the local government, focusing among others on the legalization process.
Head of the government criticized the mayors for the slowness of this process, stressing that the acceleration is not at the right level.
Rama advised the mayors to focus on the legalization process and not have excuses for delays.
“The other topic that is very important is legalization. When we held the historic meeting in Shkodra, one of the main points was to give us access to legalizations, and now we have also paved the way for access to legalizations, so that people have the municipality on their side and the process to be is as easy as possible. What are we waiting for to speed up this process? I don’t want to mention names because one of the most vocal mayors said that the municipality should take the process from the highest levels of the result.
Sincerely, legalization needs a lot of focus; there is no excuse,” said Rama.
