The MPs of the opposition as well as supporters of the Democratic Party have physically clashed with the guards as they tried to enter the fenced perimeter of the Parliament.

Some of the leaders of the Democratic Party, together with councilors and militants of the Democratic Party who were protesting in front of the Tirana City Hall, have joined the rest of the deputies causing disturbances in front of the Parliament.

Journalist Ardit Hoxha told Euronews Albania that the Police and Guard Forces have increased in the Parliament yard.

Tensions de-escalated after the protesters gathered in front of the City Hall joined the DP MPs inside the parliament enclosure.

This led to dozens of special forces appearing alongside the guard inside the Parliament’s perimeter.

Deputies Flamur Noka, Dash Sula Gazment Bardhi, Bledion Nallbati physically clashed, pushing them to leave.

“Get out, how can you take special forces to the deputies”, the DP deputies are heard shouting.

In the footage captured by the operator of Euronews Albania, guards are seen trying to calm the opposition MPs.
