The Special Court has scheduled the preliminary hearing for former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and the other four defendants. The session will be held on October 24 at 12:00.

The lottery has previously appointed the judge Flojera Davidhi.

Two days ago, the Special Prosecutor’s Office closed the investigations for Sali Berisha and his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi, businessmen Fatmir Bektashi and Xhimi Begeja and citizen Andia Pustina, referring to the Special Court the request to start the trial related to the “Partizani” file.

This is the first time that a former prime minister has been sent for trial, while the accusation of passive corruption weighs against him.
