The Gjadër camp can continue to remain open, although for the Court of Rome it loses the function for which it was established.

It is likely that another group of migrants will arrive next week, and this will be confirmed on Monday, in the special meeting that Prime Minister Giorxhia Meloni has requested with the government cabinet.

“I want to move forward in the agreement with Albania. Italians asked me to stop illegal migration: I will do my best to limit it, but I am sorry that, at a time when all of Europe is watching with interest something that Italy is doing, we are trying as always to express ourselves in our own way. It is an issue that will be resolved soon”, said Meloni.

The prime minister came out against the judges in Rome, and even in her rhetoric used the argument of a preliminary decision, after the decision to return the migrants to Italy.

The Coast Guard ship with 12 migrants has left Albania for Bari, after the decision taken on Friday by the migration section of the Rome court, which considered their detention in the Gjadri camp invalid, on the grounds that they do not come from safe places.
