After the protests in the Parliament of Albania, for the first time, on Wednesday, October 23, the opposition MPs will protest in front of the European Parliament in Strasbourg, on the same day when the EP meets in plenary session.
Sources indicate that it is expected that there will be a division into two groups of deputies.
One group of deputies will enter the European Parliament to hold meetings with the MEPs, where they will inform them about the situation with the opposition in Albania, and the other group will be in front of the European Parliament with banners in their hands to protest.
About 30 deputies are expected to be at the protest. This is the first time that Albanian MPs are organizing to protest in front of the European Parliament.
This movement of the Democratic Party comes after the sentence of Ervin Salinaji to 1 year in prison for a false report in the “Babale” file.
The opposition MPs demand awareness of their causes, from the expulsions from the Assembly, the request for a technical government, or even the punishment of Salianji and the security measure given to Sali Berisha, which they consider unjust.
