The affair with the reconstruction in Rrogozhina has reached SPAK (Special Prosecutor’s Office), while the investigations are expected to be extended to senior officials as well.

The Durrës Prosecutor’s Office has announced its lack of competence after suspicions that officials who are being investigated by the Special Prosecutor’s Office are also implicated.

On September 30, 2024, at the request of the Durrës Prosecutor’s Office, 5 employees of the Rrogozhin Municipality were arrested for a damage of 3.5 million euros, while 78 other people are under investigation.

The investigation shows that the flats for which the compensation was given due to the damage caused by the earthquake were not for housing, but other objects were noted in their files, including pig and cow sheds.
