Albania continues to host tourists even during the fall, marking a significant increase in the number of visitors.

During the month of September, Albania was visited by over 1 million foreign citizens, while for the first 9 months of the year, the number of visitors reached 9.7 million.

In September, Albania welcomed 1.8 million Albanian citizens and foreigners, marking an increase of 9% compared to the same month last year.

Of this number, 1.15 million people were foreigners, who mostly visited the country for tourism purposes, helped by the warm temperatures and sunny days.

The data shows that for the first 9 months of the year, Albania received 9.7 million visitors, which represents an increase of 17% compared to 2023. The government expects the year to end with 13 million arrivals.

According to the September statistics, 95% of foreign national arrivals come from the European region, followed by America and East Asia.

More than 1 million visitors declared that the motive of entering Albania was vacation, 47 thousand transited to another country, while another 18 thousand came for business purposes.
