The ship “Moliva” will continue to stay at the port, until the port authority decides on its permission in the port of Durrës.

Referring to the request of the Durrës Prosecutor’s Office, which required the commitment of several institutions to find a safe environmental site and guaranteeing physical security through 24-hour camera monitoring, the port authority has responded by emphasizing that it cannot provide a suitable space, as the waste is considered dangerous and requires special security conditions.

On the other hand, this institution cannot guarantee their physical protection with 24-hour cameras, as ordered by the prosecution. The Moliva ship with 102 containers, which is suspected of containing dangerous materials, has been in the dock, 1.5 miles from the port of Durrës, since Sunday morning.

Meanwhile, upon arrival, the prosecutor’s office demanded the seizure of all containers and engaged a number of institutions to carry out practices.
