The next stop of Prime Minister Edi Rama’s tour of meetings with retirees was in Korça. As he made an overview of the progress of the increase of pensions by means of indexation, he stopped at the plans of the opposition for an immediate increase of pensions, which he called the continuation of pyramid schemes.
“When some charlatans come out who talk about instant growth, these are the masks of Sudes, known and unknown masks. The anti-state and anti-future spirit of Sudes whether they appear on the eighth floor or on the top of the Maji Mountain in overalls. On the phone screen, they appear as the young woman who comes out, but it is Sudja who comes out with the soul, but it does not appear that Sudja is our shadow, we have a Sudja who appears to us as a shadow”, said Prime Minister Edi Rama.
Rama said that the government he leads found the scheme of social insurance contributions in informality, which made it impossible to increase pensions. As he explained that so far pensions have been indexed, he said that now is the time for increasing pensions.
Meanwhile, Rama recalled that for the increase in pensions to become a reality, businesses will need to make real statements.
