Influenza, Covid-19 and respiratory infections are currently co-circulating in Albanian country. About 11,500 people sought the help of the family doctor during one week, as a result of being affected by various respiratory infections.
The director of Institute of Public Health, Eugena Tomini during an interview for Euronews Albania, says that the situation is normal for the season.
In Albania, influenza type A is currently isolated, with its typical symptoms.
What the experts require is contact with the family doctor for any sick case and not to use antibiotics without a recommendation.
Vaccination, according to Tomini, is the first protective step to avoid severe forms and fatalities, so far 54% of the vaccine doses provided for free have been injected into the populations at risk.
