Business associations request a review of the fiscal package. In a letter sent to the government, they propose tax relief in agriculture and construction, as well as a concrete plan to ban euro transactions.

Eight business associations in the country demand changes in the fiscal package for 2025. In a letter to the government, they point out that small and medium-sized businesses are facing financial difficulties and an uncertain situation, influenced by the global market, which has brought about a chain effect of rising prices in raw materials.

With this argument, businesses demand the reduction of VAT to the level of 5-7% for agro-industry, the compensation of 20% of VAT for farmers and the removal of VAT for organic fertilizers.

The list of demands also includes the revision of the infrastructure impact tax and the land deposit fee. Also, businesses request an automatic VAT refund.

In their letter, the business associations also demand a ban on the sale and purchase of foreign currencies, a measure that is part of the deeuroization plan and that could positively affect the foreign exchange rate, making it more stable.

Additional proposals of the associations are also related to the formalization of the economy and the simplification of legislation for taxpayers.
