The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, held a working dinner with the KFOR commander, Major General Enrico Barduani, on Wednesday evening, where security issues in the country were discussed.

The Presidency of Kosovo informs that in this meeting, Osmani emphasized the continuous commitment of Kosovo to guarantee a safe and stable future, as a prerequisite for development and prosperity. She reconfirmed the importance of coordination between Kosovo institutions and international partners for security issues, with the aim of protecting citizens and the country’s sovereignty.

The Presidency of Kosovo emphasizes that Osmani continues to have regular meetings with the commander of KFOR to deepen cooperation in the field of security, especially with NATO.

“She expressed her gratitude to KFOR, which has increased the number of troops and is supporting Kosovo’s institutions in patrolling the border with Serbia. Osmani re-emphasized the dangers that come from Serbia’s destabilizing tactics, especially due to Serbia’s lack of responsibility for the act of aggression in September 2023 and the attacks on KFOR in May 2023.

At the end of the meeting, President Osmani and Commander Barduani expressed their commitment to maintaining a safe environment for all citizens, stressing that cooperation and mutual trust are the foundation of lasting peace and stability,” said the announcement of the Presidency.
