The plenary session held this Tuesday, where the draft budget for 2025 was approved in principle, was closed in the Assembly.
The budget for 2025 was approved with 75 votes in favor, zero abstentions and 40 against. On behalf of the groups, Shpëtim Idrizi, Eduard Shalsi and Jorida Tabaku spoke.
116 deputies were present.
According to the new budget, 822.7 billion ALL, or about 8.2 billion euros, planned expenses for 2025, will be spent on salaries, investments, social protection, reconstruction, debt interest, reserve funds, for local government, economic aid, compensation and other schemes up to agriculture.
Referring to the draft budget report, about 1/3 of the total expenditure goes to social protection, social security, pension scheme, economic aid, unemployment payment or compensation to former owners with a total of 291.9 billion ALL, or about 3 billion euros.
