Prime Minister Edi Rama announced through a post on “X” that Albania has become part of the European Union’s unique payment system.
In his writing, he states that from January 1, Albanian money transfers from Europe to Albania or vice versa will no longer have financial costs.
“Another big step on the way to Albania 2030 in the European Union. Today, Albania became part of the unique European payment system, which means that all money transfers of Albanians from Europe to Albania or vice versa will no longer have financial costs starting from January 1, 2025
“Millions and millions of EUROS saved from duties on remittances, thanks to the increase in trust in Albania and Albania’s further approach to the summit of EU membership”, – writes Rama.
