The Constitutional Court has set the date when it will consider Sali Berisha’s appeal regarding the evaluation of the “house arrest” measure. The Constitutional Court informs that on December 27 of this year it will issue a decision without the presence of the parties on the request of Sali Berisha”.
“Also, on 26.11.2024, after considering the request for “Acceleration of the trial”, presented by the applicant Sali Berisha on 25.11.2024, it decided:
-Acceptance of the request for speeding up the trial, as well as reducing the deadlines for the parties to present their submissions and positions, as well as setting the hearing based on the documents on 27.12.2024, at 10:00 a.m. GJK.

The College of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania, based on Article 21, point 1, of Law no. 8577, dated 10.02.2000 “On the organization and functioning of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania”, as amended, announces that on 26.11.2024 it has taken into preliminary consideration the request submitted by the petitioner Sali Berisha with the object: “The repeal as incompatible with the Constitution of the Republic of Albania of decision no. 520, dated 30.12.2023 and decision no. 521, dated 27.12.2023 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime in Tirana, of decision no. 15, dated 25.01.2024 of the Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime in Tirana and decision no. 00-2024-667 (94), dated 09.04.2024 of the Criminal College of the Supreme Court (announced on 29.07.2024)”, related to the measure of arrest “House arrest” and decided:
– passing the case for consideration in a plenary session on the basis of the documents (without the presence of the parties), as well as calling as an interested subject in this process the Assembly of the Republic of Albania, as well as the Special Prosecutor’s Office Against Corruption and Organized Crime.
Also, on 26.11.2024, the Meeting of Judges, after considering the request for “Acceleration of the trial”, presented by the applicant Sali Berisha on 25.11.2024, decided:
– accepting the request for speeding up the trial, as well as reducing the deadlines for the parties to present their submissions and positions, as well as scheduling a plenary session based on the documents on 27.12.2024, at 10:00.
