Last Friday found Kosovo with three terrorist attacks in the north of the Republic. After midnight on November 29, the building of the municipality of Zveçan was attacked with M-75 hand grenades. Not many hours passed and the Ibër-Lepenci water channel was blown up.
Eight people have been arrested for the terrorist attack in the north of Kosovo and an arsenal of weapons and military equipment was also seized.
In the early hours of the weekend, the Security Council engaged the troops of the Kosovo Security Force to patrol critical infrastructure points in various locations in Kosovo. This is happening for the first time, where armed troops are patrolling in a state of readiness.
The director of the Kosovar Center for Security Studies, Mentor Vrajolli, tells KosovaPress that they have been trying for several years as a center to advocate the implementation of the Law on Protection of Critical Infrastructure.
Vrajolli says that the latest attack is serious for critical infrastructure, so the FSK should definitely be involved in patrols.
Following the Security Council’s decision to engage the FSK in support of civil authorities, Prime Minister Albin Kurti and Minister of Defense Ejup Maqedonci supervised the static points and military patrols located in Obiliq and Vushtrri a few days earlier.
