From the harsh action with burning chairs and jamming of plenary sessions, the Democratic Party has changed its approach by building its action on the basis of the proposals against the budget for 2025 brought by the socialist majority.
A total of 36 amendments have been submitted by the deputies of the Democratic Party for the budget, which will be examined in the plenary session of this Tuesday, where it is expected that the budget for next year will be passed item by item.
DP proposals affect almost all areas of life, with a special focus on the demand for increased support for pensioners.
According to the democratic parliamentary group, these amendments to the budget are made with the aim that it is not the welfare budget of a group of people close to the government, but the budget of the citizens and that ensures their minimum welfare.
This is the first time that the Democratic Party presents to the Assembly such a long list of draft laws and amendments to the state budget, and it is seen as the first step in building an alternative governing opposition for the upcoming spring 2025 elections.
The special feature of Tuesday’s session will be the return of DP leader Sali Berisha after Special Court decided to release him from house arrest.
