All municipalities in the country have collected 34 billion by September. This amount is about 50% higher than the revenue collected in 2022.

For the Ministry of Finance, in most of the municipalities, a positive progress is observed, due to fiscal administration and austerity measures in the collection of taxes and fees.

This year, only the municipality of Tirana has collected 20 billion ALL, with an annual increase of 67%, while the other 60 municipalities have collected 14 billion ALL or 30% more than 9 months 2023.

On the other hand, for 9 months, local units have spent 49 billion ALL, with an increase of 3 billion ALL. With this moderate increase, half of the money has gone to personnel, while for investments the expenditure is lower. Only the municipality of Tirana has spent 15 billion ALL this year, while the other 60 local units have spent 34 billion ALL.
