The Electoral Panel for Complaints and Submissions (PZAP) has partially accepted the complaint of the Serbian List and has ordered the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) to certify this party for the extraordinary elections that will be held on May 19 in the four northern municipalities of Kosovo: North Mitrovica, Zveçan, Zubin Potok and Leposaviq.
According to the decision of the PZAP, the previous decision of the CEC on the non-certification of the candidates of the Serbian List has been annulled, assessing that this party has fulfilled the legal conditions for participation. The certified candidates are Goran Rakić for North Mitrovica, Vuqina Janković for Zveçan, Srdjan Vulović for Zubin Potok and Zoran Todić for Leposavić.
However, PZAP rejected as unfounded the appeal of the Serbian List related to the allegations of violations by members of the CEC and rejected the request to prove that the previous decision of the CEC violated Article 45 of the Constitution of Kosovo.
This decision of the PZAP gives the candidates of the Serbian List the opportunity to compete in the extraordinary local elections, thus representing the interests of the Serbian community in these municipalities.
